grace has godparents

not only was this thanksgiving grace's first, it was also the official debut of her brand new godparents:

andrea's sister steffie

and john's brother will.

we are so grateful to them for agreeing to take on this special role in grace's life, and proud of her for what great taste she has in godparents.

5 pics = 5000 words. nuff said.

thanksgiving

during grandmadonna's stay we didn't take too many pics - not even of thanksgiving. however, there were cameras everywhere, and i'm sure more photos soon to follow from their visit to nyc.

cameras or no, what a blast we had! we love our family. look how much love and fun is in our tiny little living room here... so much to be thankful for.

old news and hardly any proof: grandma donna lives w us these days!

weeks since any blog updates, and in the meantime, 2 major changes:

1. andrea has returned to work. this has not been easy. she can tell it better than i, so i'll leave it to her. suffice it to say there are no interesting photos to share re: this return, but some decent stories, so keep an eye out.

2. andrea's mom, grandma donna (aka grand madonna!) has moved in with us to help with that switch back to work for andrea. to celebrate, we headed to baby loves disco, an afternoon disco party for babies, toddlers, and their parents. free juice and snacks for kids, free coffee and discount cocktails for parents, real deal disco deejays with the volume at half and all the lights on. plenty of fun.

this is grace on the complimentary changing table beside the dancefloor. this is also your best look at her disco punk ensemble: yellow and white striped onesie, polka dot purple leggings, and green converse sneaker socks. not to mention the usual mohawk. very disco. very punk. very grace.
on the way to the afterparty: grace sports a hat made by amy, one of our college friends. andrea sports the look of a proud mother whose baby has just disco danced the night away and whose mother has come from a faraway land to show us love and help us live our life for a while. thank god for grandmadonna!

photo grab bag: fall

didn't like this one at all at first, but it turns out to be pretty great on further review.
her favorite (as yet unnamed) bear.
this will be my new screensaver at work. i like the lighting, even though it's a mistake (something happened with the red eye reduction flash reflecting off the Fisher Price Jungle Waterfall Bouncy Chair Thing) (looks cool though, right?)
one last flash of halloween. this is us at the park slope parade: pumpkin and pumpkin farmer.
grace and her "puerto rican grandma" aka miriam aka abuela serrano. 2 beautiful ladies, these.
